Ashford Castle

Finally getting around to sharing photos from my stay at Ashford Castle. It was the perfect way to end our family trip around the UK and Ireland. The castle is absolutely amazing and a complete dream. There are secret gardens throughout the grounds and so many fun activities you can do! From hawk walks, to fishing, tree climbing, horseback riding, shooting, and archery, the list is literally endless. Seriously, there is so much to do there and the staff is so accommodating and will arrange it all for you. Jordan, my mom, and I went on a hawk walk (more on that later) while my dad got a massage at the spa. Later, the boys went golfing while my mom and I channeled our inner Katniss Everdeen and took an archery lesson in the forest. Jordan even got a few rounds of skeet shooting in before dinner. We barely scratched the surface on all that the castle has to offer. I loved every second of our stay, but one of my absolute favorite things about the castle was that you got to play with two of the cutest and biggest pups every morning in the lobby. It was the best wake-up call.

Staying in a castle was definitely a bucket list item and I was pinching myself the entire stay. I still can’t believe that I was able to live like a queen for a week. If you get a chance to visit Ireland, definitely make a trip to see or stay at Ashford Castle. It’s worth it, even if you just pop in for a bite to eat or for a stroll in the gardens.
