California Weekend

A few weekends ago, Jérémie and I hopped on a plane and headed west to spend Mother's Day with my mom and grandma in Newport Beach and to have a much needed relaxing long weekend. We were hoping for sunny skies the entire time we were there so we could lay on the beach all day, but the weather had different plans for us. It rained most of the weekend, so we did the next best thing: ate until our pants couldn't fit anymore. For breakfast, our fave spots are The Galley, Rose's, Dad's Donuts (where I get my famous hippo cookies), and Shirley's. For lunch and dinner we are obsessed with Nick's, Cucina Enoteca, Javier's, and Sapori. Those are some of the BEST spots in the OC and ones we never miss when we visit.

Before our trip, I did some serious shopping and stocked up my closet. Shop my summer favorites below:

Besides stuffing our faces, we hit the golf course for Jérémie's first ever round of 18 holes. I normally hate golf, but apparently its my secret calling in life. It was super fun and Jérémie is a natural! We also went to the Santa Anita horse races and threw a bunch of money down the drain, but it was super fun betting against each other. Jo was the big winner and I broke even. Jérémie, my mom, and my dad didn't stand a chance.

When the sun finally came out, we took a long bike ride to the wedge and flew our drone. We have DJI Spark and I freaking love it. We get the coolest shots with it! I always make Jérémie fly it because I'm too afraid, but am always there to art direct. I found some amazing DJI bundles below. If you are thinking of buying a drone, do it. I promise you won't regret it. We were on the fence about it because of the cost, but seriously love it.
