Anniversaire de Mariage

Not very many people get to have a second wedding reception, but lucky for us we did! A few days after our first wedding anniversary in August, Jérémie's family threw us a huge celebration so we could celebrate our wedding with some of the friends and family who couldn't make it to our big day in California. I know I say this a lot, but we really do have the best friends and family in the world. People traveled from near and far to make it to not only our actual wedding day, but our "second" wedding in France. We truly are lucky to have such amazing people in our lives.
The night was a total success with amazing food (including our faces on m&ms) and even better company. The party was held at a beautiful golf course near Reims in a town called Gueux in the Champagne countryside. The grounds are lined with trees and ponds and has the most amazing château where we held our celebration. The château reminds me of a quaint Disney castle...but thats pretty much what all of France looks like to me. I always feel like I'm in a fairytale when I'm there which is funny to me because that was Jérémie's everyday life until he moved to Dallas.
Dinner was several courses of amazing French food and dessert was a tower (literally) of some of our favorite pastries. We ate and ate...and ate some more until we finally made our way towards the DJ booth and danced into the night. We had so much fun, I think I'm going to make a new tradition that we have a "wedding reception" every year and celebrate and party with everyone we love.
