Find Your Light with Glossier's Haloscope

February 5, 2019

I’m a self-proclaimed “minimal” beauty junkie, meaning I love beauty products but I hate putting on makeup or doing a skincare regimen of more than three steps. I don’t even have **flawless** skin (HELLO melasma and adult acne…you can GTFO now…), I’m honestly just really lazy. I also hate the feeling of too much makeup on my skin. Feeling gooey and sticky literally drives me crazy. So that’s why I LOVE products that make me look dewy and like a perfectly glazed donut without the stickiness. Meet Glossier’s Haloscope: your skin’s new dewy BFF.

I literally would buy a rock from Glossier if they told me it was an exfoliator and would firm my skin. I love everything they come out with (minus Milky Jelly Cleanser – but I’m the only one in the world). For someone who is into the minimal makeup look but wants to stay on trend, they are like my mecca. Haloscope is just the bee’s knees. It’s a dual-delivery formula: the outer halo is infused with genuine crystal extracts for all-day enlightenment, with a solid oil core of vitamin-rich moisturizers for a hydrated, dewy finish. Expect an otherworldly sheen that’s never dry, never glittery. And it comes in three different colors. I wear them ALL. Topaz is perfect for a healthy, sun-kissed glow, Quartz is a universally flattering, pearlescent highlight, and Moonstone is the ideal opalescent glaze. It comes in an easy to use stick form, even I could figure it out. Glide the stick directly onto your skin in a half halo around each eye, under your cheekbones, on the bridge of your nose, and a little dab right in the little dip above your lips for maximum glazed donut effect. Blend with your fingertips to soften the edge and you’re ready to go.

Fun fact for all you hippies or pseudo hippies like me: it’s made from ACTUAL crystals. The outer ring is enhanced with real Rose Quartz or Golden Topaz —pretty cool, even if you’re not a crystal person. It’s also made from coconut and castor seed oil which are rich in vitamin E and give the solid oil core dewy sheen and easy glide. AND sweet almond oil which is a super moisturizer rich in fatty acids. It’s also hypoallergenic, dermatologist-tested, paraben free, fragrance free, cruelty free. What more could you want?

You’ll love all three. I wear a combo of them at all times to catch hopefully catch my perfect light. Shop Haloscope and other awesome highlighters below:
