La Californie Avec Jérémie

After a long hiatus, I’m finally back in the swing of things with the blog and finally sharing some snaps from my November trip to California. This trip was particularly special because Jérémie was with me! He flew all the way from France to spend Thanksgiving with me and my family, so we snuck in a little trip to California before the holiday. The week was spent showing him all of my favorite places and my favorite things to do in California. We went on bike rides up and down the coast, ate at some of my favorite restaurants, went to Disneyland, ate some more, and took a day trip to Venice for a little exploring. We were nonstop all week!

My top three favorite moments from the trip were:

1. Watching Jérémie eat In-N-Out for the first time. I know that sounds stupid but he was so excited to try it, it made me super excited too even though I’ve eaten there a ton of times.

2. Riding the teacups at Disneyland. The teacups have been one of my favorite rides ever since I was a little girl. My mom used to take me on them and we would spin so, so fast! So I couldn’t wait to take Jérémie for a spin. You can never have a bad time at Disneyland, especially if you ride the teacups.

3. While I love getting to show Jérémie my favorite places, one thing I was super excited about was introducing Jérémie to my very best friends. On our last night we had grabbed In-N-Out and headed to the beach for a bonfire and smores (which he didn’t like…so we will have to work on that) with my best friends. It was the perfect way to close out our trip to the west coast.

I could go on and on about my favorite memories from the trip because there weren’t any bad ones. I was so excited about showing one of my favorite places to my favorite person. Every moment was special, even when we were just sitting on the beach watching the waves. It’s so difficult being away from him every day that whenever we get the chance to be together, no moment can be taken for granted and every moment is special.

While California was full of fun memories and adventures, the top/best moment of Jérémie’s visit came a week later when he proposed in Dallas! I am so grateful for the adventures we’ve had and can’t wait for more to come as husband and wife!
